Remodeling Business Ideas

The Remodeling Business has created support business opportunities. New renovations and buildings bring in jobs for just about everyone. You can make the same money construction workers do for half of the time spent working in construction clean up. Construction cleaners clear away debris, cleaning windows, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, shining floors, cleaning the garage, and cleaning the basement - everything needed to have the place ready for living or business.

A new building is so welcoming but it really isn't finished until it is perfect inside and out. It needs those 'finishing touches' that make it look finished. Until all the remnants of construction activity are gone, it isn't finished. This is where your business will take over. This isn't a complicated job, but it takes an organized person, or crew, that can determine what needs to be taken care of to make a project look its best when finished. Your job is critical because if the building isn't sparkling and looking it's best when you are done the new tenants will not be happy.

Make sure that you are familiar with the types of debris you will be cleaning up and how to care for different surfaces properly. You will also need to be aware of any toxic materials you are cleaning, taking precautions for your health, and how to dispose of different materials in a proper way. Most areas have laws on how to dispose of certain building materials.

You may even be able to recycle many different types of debris and in some cases sell what you have cleaned out of construction sites. Check with your local community recyclers to find out what materials can be recycled and where. Some metals can be sold to metal salvage companies. You also need to be aware of local dumping charges in your area for the discarding of the debris. Make sure that when you quote the cost of your services you include the cost of what you will have to pay the local dump.

You should advertise your services with all of your local construction companies. It is a good idea to invest in business cards to do this, send your business card to all of the local companies with an introduction letter. It might be a good idea to do this on a regular basis until you have regular work and don't need to advertise any more. Once you have established yourself as a fast and efficient construction clean up company you won't need to advertise, because you will be the one they contact for a good job.

You will also need a reliable vehicle to haul away the debris. If you are starting out this type of business, you can rent trucks to do this until you make enough money to purchase your own vehicle. You will also need all of the cleaning supplies connected with cleaning windows, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, shining floors. This could involve many different items needed; it would be good to have them all with you on any job sites.
