A Quick and Inexpensive Fix to Nail Holes and Small Plaster Cracks

A Quick and Inexpensive Fix to Nail Holes and Small Plaster Cracks

List of Materials Needed:
What you'll need is so simple that you'll probably re-read the list twice.

1) A sheet of notebook paper or paper you use in your printer AND 2) Toothpaste (white is preferable).

We all have them. Holes in our walls from moving around picture frames, tacking things on walls and naturally, holes in the wall that are just there. We have no idea how the got there (maybe the prior homeowners or maybe it was aliens in the night) but they are there.

What's the simple, inexpensive solution that even small children can implement? Well, go to your bathroom and find your toothpaste. Hopefully you have the white variety. It's the best for applying onto all wall surfaces. Cavity protection is optional but I'm sure the walls won't mind.

The first step is to gently apply a tiny amount of toothpaste to the hole in the wall. You can either use your fingers or preferably the sheet of paper to help push in the toothpaste into the hole and then smooth out the excess. The stuff works without fail and it works very quickly. It dries up fast and you can paint right over it within a few minutes.

We all have toothpaste in our homes. If you don't, well maybe you should go get some now. This tip ultimately helps you plug up all the holes and small plaster cracks in your walls without have to run to the home improvement store. Save your hard-earned cash and avoid any solutions that are not as easy to apply and that potentially contain smelly (heck, even toxic) chemicals.

Well, that's my simple but highly tip for those annoying little holes that dot our walls. Hope it's useful and give it a try. You'll be amazed how fast and good the results are from good old-fashioned toothpaste. Enjoy!
