A similar handling product that is being billed as more environmentally friendly or green is ROCKWOOL INSULATION While a bit more expensive many people are moving to FOAM IN PLACE INSULATION We tend to use a great deal of RIGID FOAM INSULATION especially on foundation walls and under basement floors. Another type of insulation billed as green product is CELLULOSE INSULATION It is made from recycled paper.

EXTERIOR HOUSE WRAP
this is used to protect the homes exterior surfaces from prolonged exposure to moisture and yet be able to let moisture from inside breath out of the walls. To help keep moisture from settling into the walls
I always recommend installing POLYETHYLENE VAPOR BARRIER to the warm side of all interior walls. Since we have been on the subject of moisture barriers I want to include a refresher on ROOFING FELT and MOISTURE SHIELD The former covers all roof surfaces prior to finish materials and the latter is extra protection for valleys and eaves.
