Plan Design

This is where the dream begins to take shape!

Well here we are on everybody’s favorite homebuilding topic, the subject of plan design. If you have done your homework up to this point then you have some ideas of what you want. From here we will discuss several plan creation options. But first we will cover the topic of Home Design Questions to get you prepared to start the design selection process. I think this is the best place to begin this process because without this information you will waste valuable time and money trying different spins without really having some key target decisions already made.

I will walk you through the method I use in Floor Plan Design and walk you through the process. I have also included a link to the brand new free online consumer version of the very powerful design software I use and a couple of color renderings of some of my past work.

I can tell you that my primary focus is on flow, I discuss in depth the family unit and create a design that flows around everyone’s needs. Then we work to incorporate the additional wants. You will find much more in the links.
